The Break Up is a stop motion music video for the song of the same name by Leanna Betasamosake Simpson from her 2021 album Theory of Ice, which includes poems as well as part of Leanne’s Governor General’s Award-nominated novel Noopiming: The Cure For White Lades, the film adaptation of which SFP is currently developing. The video features two of the book’s main characters: Mashkawaji and Ninaatig.
